Welcome to Booksoarus

For many aspiring authors, the idea of writing their first book and getting published generates enough excitement to get started. However, very soon most realise that the process is far from easy.
The traditional publishing process moves in an excruciatingly painful and slow manner. Apart from the author, there are many more intermediaries involved in the exercise – literary agents, publishers, distributors, retailers and finally the readers.
The starting point is to write the book. This is where you have maximum control on the content, speed, style and overall approach.
I started a personal blog that focussed on the post-writing part i.e. how to get published.
That blog made one big assumption – most readers already have a book ready and are now looking for the next steps – bagging an agent or a publisher. There was the occasional post about writing a book too, but the general focus was clearly on the commercial and business aspects of getting published.
But after writing several posts, it seemed like I had skipped a step and moved to the next steps too early.
With this site, we take a few steps back and start from the basics. We’ll focus on the building blocks of writing a good book (fiction and non-fiction).
Join us as we explore the world of creative writing. If you write books in English, you’ll find several tips and techniques to improve your writing skills.

Let’s enjoy the journey together.
Let the games begin!

  3. @Arman: In a country as big and diverse as India, there’s a market for everything. The scale may vary though.
And it’s up to you to start reaching out to the right audience and make them aware of your book. That’s part of the publishing process.
Plus, with platforms such as Amazon’s KDP, nothing stops you from reaching a global audience.
